Fez is a city in northern Morocco, on the trade routes linking the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea to regions south of the Sahara. It is a major trade and industrial centre (textile, tanning, soap-making, etc.), and arts and crafts are also highly developed. The oldest parts of the city are listed by UNESCO as World Heritage sites. Fez is a major religious and university centre, as well as a great architectural capital.
Transport to and from Fez Airport :
The airport is about 14 km from the centre of the city of Fez.
By bus : regular service on line 16 from the airport to the bus and train stations. The fare is about 3 dihrams.
By taxi : taxis are available outside the air terminal. Fares to the city centre vary but rarely cost more than 150 dirhams.
